Review – The Stuff

For this review I thought I would go back to 1985 for something even more obscure than usual (bet you thought that couldn’t happen). The Stuff has been a favourite of mine since I first saw it, along with a select few it can be held responsible for my love of “bad” movies. I think it is still available on Netflix, but please finish reading this post before rushing off to watch it!

Review – Zombie Hunter

Apologies for the late review. I have been self medicating a sore throat with whisky, a lot. While this does work, it knocks me out.

I didn’t realise that Zombie Hunter was from Arrowstorm Entertainment until I watched it on Blinkbox. If you saw my earlier post you’ll know I backed their new movie Survivor on Kickstarter. The production value and effects exceeded expectation, which bodes well for their future projects.

Looking forward to watching Zombie Hunter tonight, starring Danny Trejo. Rented it on Blinkbox for 99p in their Monday deal.

Review – Blood Glacier

This German gem can be found on Lovefilm Instant and DVD. Subtitled movies aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but Blood Glacier (aka The Station) is well worth a watch.

A group of scientists based at a remote research station in the Alps are studying a glacier.

News – Kickstarter for Survivor

Arrowstorm Entertainment are making their first SciFi movie, and you have the chance to help make it happen!

Survivor has been filmed but they are raising funds via Kickstarter to complete the visual effects. The funding goal has already been reached with 18 days left to go, don’t let this put you off backing them though. There are some sweet rewards and stretch goals still to be announced.

If you’re not interested yet, Survivor will see the return of Kevin Sorbo (Hercules and Andromeda). The plot below sounds like it should be fun too;

“During their search for a habitable planet the last living humans crash-land on a barren world, inhabited by bloodthirsty aliens and mysterious post-apocalyptic warriors.”

Next up on my review list is Big Ass Spider. After seeing the DVD cover posted on Facebook how could I resist a title like that?
